In drawing plans together for a book on deriving insights from on-line conversations it is important to assess what is already published to ensure that a new book meets a genuine need and builds on what is already available.
Two books I have found useful are:
- Robert Kozinets Netnography
- Mike Thelwall's Introduction to Webometrics
Katie Harris has suggested Annette Markham & Nancy Baym Internet Inquiry, which looks like a really interesting book.
What resources are you aware of (they don't need to be books in the traditional sense)?

Thanks for links above.
I'd add Seth Godin's TRIBES and LINCHPIN, FLIP THE FUNNEL, and THE NEW INFLUENCERS.
Cheers,
Praz
