Wikis are more than just Wikipedia?
Wired have a really useful article by Ryan Singel looking at Wikis. Most people are familiar with Wikipedia, but wikis in general are less familiar.
The article highlights some other collaborative wiki projects, such as travel, sports, and taxes. The article also discusses how companies are using wikis internally to document projects, and draws a distinction between enterprise and citizen wikis.
One question for the likes of ESOMAR and the UK’s MRS is where are the research wiki projects? Why aren’t we using wiki’s to consolidate best practice, definitions, and to develop a participatory plan for the future?
I'm starting this colossal project..

Great question and one I've asked myself. This seems like a no-brainer. Maybe I'll be the first one to market with MRWiki.
