Yesterday I had my longest training ride yet, 81 miles (130 KM). From Nottingham I headed North to Ollerton and Tuxford, before heading East, over the Trent, and down to Lincoln. From Lincoln I headed to the small villages to the East of Newark, before savouring a Starbuck's latte in Newark's market square, after which it was a flat, but very wet 25 miles back to home.
All I need to do now is to repeat that 12-13 days in a row and I will be fine for the 1000 miles from Land's End to John o'Groats.
As well as my training I need to think about innovative ways of increasing my sponsorship for the charity I am raising money for, Oxfam.
If you would like to make a donation you can do so at my justgiving site.
Here is map showing my route, it is the squiggly purple line.
